Social Action In our the Affirmation of the UU Fellowship of Galveston County, we discuss our responsibility to work to improve our world and community twice. First we say that "Service is its Gift" and we close by pledging to "help one another". Working to improve our world, stand up against injustice, and aid those in need is at the core of who we are as members of the UUFGC. From supporting the equal rights of Gays and Lesbians, to aiding such great causes as "The Jesse Tree" and "The Industrial Areas Foundation", the UU Fellowship of Galveston County is committed to working to better our world, Galveston county, and our Island. If you are looking for more than a supportive religious community, if you are looking for a place where you to can work to make a difference in our world, then the UU Fellowship of Galveston County may be just the place for your Social Witnessing activities. Our Social Action committee meets at the fellowship every 2nd Thursday of the month at noon, and conducts many actions and activities. Feel free to come and join in, and bring ideas, energy, and the realization that we can change our world. For more information on UU Social Action, please visit the following links.
