Our Mission Statement

We, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Galveston County, affirm the right of people of all ages to develop their own views concerning spirituality.

It is our purpose to be a visible, enduring, liberal religious presence in our community. We believe this can be accomplished through creative worship, religious education, intellectual stimulation, supportive fellowship, and community service.

We unite in the spirit of the Unitarian Universalist principles and purposes to welcome and appeal to the full range of human diversity, that is age, race, gender, sexual orientation and ethnicity.

We welcome persons interested in joining the UU Fellowship of Galveston County as a member.

This simple process begins by sending an email to, or speaking to one of the Membership Team members.

An informal orientation meeting will allow you to understand what membership involves. Those who choose to do so will sign the Membership Book when they are ready. This will indicate that you:

(1) endorse the Bylaws of the Fellowship,
(2) agree to abide by the UUFGC Right Relations Covenant; and
(3) promise to assume responsibility for the work of the Fellowship by contributing your "time, treasure, and/or talent."

Voting membership depends on a contribution of something of value during the year preceding the Annual Membership Meeting.
