Sermon Description:
Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and has become an annual tradition for our UU Fellowship. We will honor, remember, and acknowledge our deceased loved ones and celebrate their lives in a meaningful cultural manner.
Everyone is invited to bring photos and/or mementos that commemorate their loved ones to be placed on our Día de los Muertos ofrenda (altar).
Sandra Lopez is a retired Clinical Professor from University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. She has maintained a clinical practice focused on trauma and grief. She appreciates the opportunity to draw upon and connect deeply to her Mexican culture through this unique cultural celebration with UU fellowship.
