There are many ways you can become involved. UU Membership is not required to participate in many of these events. If you have questions or wish to participate in an activity, please contact the chair of the committee.
Interest Groups

Book Club

Our book club is a casual meeting focusing on one book per month, selected in advance by participants. The club is open to all who enjoy reading and discussion and meets at the fellowship the 2nd Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM. Social time lasts until 7:00 PM, when the book discussion begins.

Bowlers

Bowlers meet every Wednesday at 3:00 pm. Join us to make new friends, build community, and craft ceramic soup bowls for the Jesse Tree Annual Fundraiser. Beginners welcome.

Chalice Circles

Chalice Circles are small group gatherings in which six to ten people share perspectives on spiritual topics in order to deepen inward and connect more meaningfully to others. Please contact us if you are interested in participating in the next sessions.

Game Nights

Mary hosts Game Nights at her house, 1923 Sealy, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on the 2nd Sunday of the month. We play board and card games based on the size of the group. Bring a treat to share!

Handcrafter Group

Join us Friday afternoons at 1:00 in the Fellowship living room and bring your projects – knitting, crocheting, embroidery, quilting, even mending!

Dharma by the Sea

Dharma by the Sea, a meditation and Buddhist philosophy talk, meets at the Fellowship Tuesdays 12:00-1:00 PM. Donations are welcome, but optional.

Supper Circles

Host a dinner at your house with your fellow UU members. It's a great way to have a good meal, great conversation, and get to know your fellow UU members better.

Citizen Climate Lobby
Members of UU Fellowship have revitalized the Galveston Chapter of Citizens' Climate Lobby (CCL,) which meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 5:30-7:00 pm.
CCL is a national, non-profit, non-partisan organization focused on national legislation in support of climate goals. For more information visit citizensclimatelobby.org . Participation is open to all, and all are welcome!

Galveston Chapter of the Native Plant Society
The Galveston Chapter of the Native Plant Society (NPSOT) meets at the UU Fellowship monthly on the 4th Thursday of the month. NPSOT is dedicated to protecting the Texas environment through conservation, research and utilization of native plants. All are welcome.
